Athletes can gain more strength, increase endurance, and achieve peak performance when they get the right nutrition. This includes eating a balanced diet with the right combination of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. The right combination will give you the energy needed to attain a winning edge. If your caloric intake is restricted it could lead to a deficiency of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals will not enhance performance, but they are one factor necessary for optimal health during training. Along with training and a balanced diet, drinking enough water is equally important. Without it, your body can become dehydrated and cause muscle cramping and fatigue. |
